So we started to look for a solution to our problem. (Hence the name Innovative Solutions.) We looked at buying snowmobile lift and modifying it with wheels but it still wasn't convenient to use.
The next idea was the big two wheel dollies to cart them around. But again, it wasn't convenient and where are you going to put a big dolly in a two stall garage?
We decided to build something for ourselves that would allow us to drive on and drive off without any lifting or taking up any more space than the snowmobile itself.
In the beginning, we built some interesting contraptions to
say the least. As time went on friends and family members
caught wind of our venture and showed some interest in
wanting one for themselves. The word spread faster than we
expected to tell you the truth. It did, however, create a
new challenge for us. How do we make one product that will
work for all of the snowmobiles out there? The challenge
really wasn't the brand of the snowmobile as much as it was
the ski stance and even more difficult to factor was the
ski design specific to the type of carbide on the ski.
After several attempts to make a runner design for the
skis, we just knew it wouldn't work and, quite frankly,
almost gave up on the idea. Then, for whatever reason, we
started to discuss a roller system. The rest, as they say,
is history. With the roller system all of the complications
were eliminated.
